Artificial Intelligence: Friend or foe?

 I've always used to think why some people always oppose Artificial Intelligence; I guess maybe because of too many Terminator movies. It is one of the most trending topics to speak about. Our present artificial intelligence (Weak AI) is not as advanced as in film (Strong AI). And it does take time to achieve such a level; with current developments in AI, it may take even less time to accomplish so. But the scenario here is what will happen when AI achieves intelligence same as Human Intelligence. Will, it will be good or evil? Will it end Humanity? Will we be used as pets for Robots? Or Will we be controlled by a supreme Intelligence? Let's find out!!

Artificial Intelligence applications are used in Healthcare, Automobiles, Banking, Finance, Surveillance, and many more. Every technology has its own pros and cons. But in this case, we can't say it's a con because it hasn't happened yet, or it might not happen. It might happen if we are the only ones stopping it from achieving its goal. Take, for example, Global Warming, if AI was given to solve the problem of Global Warming. And we are the ones who caused it in the first place. There are two ways to solve this problem. Either it will suggest we stop using fossil fuels and deforestation, or it might wipe us out. So, in that case, yes, we're doomed.

Take another case Driverless cars, one of its advantages is reducing human error while driving, which may lead to accidents. If we take Tesla as an example:

Tesla argued that its cars are very safe and reported one accident for every 4.19 million miles in 2021.

So, in this case AI is saving lives by reducing the probability of an accident to happen.

So what I mean to say is:

We have nothing to be afraid of if we're doing the right thing.

We are the ones that need to change, change our ways of living.
